Cat in the Community

Cat has always been involved in charity and community work – even as a young child she helped her Grandfather Charles Young MBE with his charity based in South Sheilds. Later, as an undergraduate at University of Birmingham, Cat learnt British Sign Language and volunteered at the Deaf Youth Club.

More recently, Cat has been on the Board of Directors of 21st Century Thame, a local Town Partnership. Cat was Chairwoman of the Steering Group for 3 years during which time she oversaw the implementation of dozens of projects for the good of the town.

She is also a keen supporter and partaker in performing arts projects having founded her own choir, called Cat’s Chorus (pun intended!) –  www.catschorus.co.uk.

Here you can see Cat being part of the Oxford Playhouse community performance:
The Story of the 4 Minute Mile.
